Volunteer at the Portland Marathon - Help the Mountain View Speedskating Club!!!
It’s that time of year again. We need your help to participate in an important annual fundraising opportunity for the Club.
Every year, the Club volunteers to help set up the Portland Marathon, which is scheduled for Oct 7th this year.
In exchange for the group’s volunteer time, we will earn real dollars to help cover subsidize the price of ice time during the season. As the cost of ice time climbs to $200 per hour, fundraising activities like this help offsets the Club’s overhead in a big way.
The volunteer activity we’re scheduled to help with this year is course setup downtown. Our shift time is 10:00am-4:00pm on Saturday, October 6th.
This opportunity is open to Club members and friends. It’s a lot of fun - plus, volunteers receive a souvenir Volunteer T-shirt in appreciation of their service. We need a minimum of 12 people for our team. Please join us!
The age requirement to volunteer is 18.
